The mosaic and bronze strip represent
the natural landscape and indigenous wildlife of the area
surrounding Elawa Park, Middlefork Savannah. The frieze
is located in a children’s playground, at child height,
easily touched by small children. 4th graders in the area
were given photos of the native species and asked to create
drawings that Janet transformed into clay and cast in bronze.
