From the roots to the trunk to the branches and leaves, the Tree of Life grounds us to the earth, nourishes our life, and gives us support to reach the sun. Within the leaves of the tree are phrases in many languages cut into each leaf. The chosen languages represent the 10 most commonly translated at RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center. These phrases are empowering statements that promote a constructive mindset and can reduce stress, improve mood and enhance overall healing. For cancer patients, positive affirmations can play a significant role in managing treatment side effects and promote a sense of control and optimism.
